Diana Doherty, a native Mississippian, returned to Southern roots from an enlightened wandering path to art-making. She received a BFA in sculpture from SUNY Purchase College of Art+Design and MA from Fordham University. As a Sculptor, her work consists of sculptural assemblage and installations of organic and manufactured materials reimagined, inviting a dialogue about the human condition — collections that explore emotional and physical responses to the environment, and attachment and separation within relationships. Diana’s work has been shown at Jonathan Ferrara Gallery, New Orleans; Richard and Dolly Maass Gallery, Purchase, NY; and is among the permanent art collection of The Spire in Atlanta and private collections. As an artist in residency at Union Theological Seminary in New York, Diana created an interactive, multimedia installation inviting a public discourse on the definition of God. She enjoyed gaining gallery, museum and commercial experience as a part of the fabrication and installation team of New York’s Lite Brite Neon before pursuing dual concentrations in Psychology and Theology.

Diana lives and works as an artist and psychotherapist in Waveland, Mississippi and New Orleans, Louisiana.
